absolutely crazy.

So, a friend emailed me the other day to tell me that the house we rented when we first got married is now up for sale. It was a great place to live, very spacious and lots of natural light, a great yard, good east side location, etc. and I always get a bit nostalgic when I think about the place, espcially the huge kitchen that I left behind (even though my current kitchen is amply large, the other one was massive).

Anyways, the asking price for that house? 370,000. Yup. If you were ever there to visit us, you'll remember the slightly dated decor, and there were a few structural problems that we discovered during our 3 years there. But yeah, 370,000. I can't imagine. That's well over double what we paid for our current place, which is just as big, has just as great a yard and is slightly less dated in its decor.

fresh garden raspberries, just picked this morning. Now i need to decide what to do with them...they could become Anthony's favorite jam, but i think this batch (first of the season) will be enjoyed fresh. Perhaps a raspberry cream cheese pie. Hmmm...

on hiatus

most of my posts for the next bit will be on the baby blog (see link on right), as that's pretty much the sum of my life right now. So please check there for updates, i will be back to this space once my brain can think of intelligent non-baby things to write.
