merry Christmas to All

...and to all a farewell.

I am off for the next couple weeks, and will be spending my time away from the computer, so my posts will be sporadic at best.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season and a happy new year, and feel free to call me up if you'd like to do something in the next couple weeks...I have nothing but time.

grab bag...a little of this, a little of that

Went to see The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe on the weekend. It's really great, and I'd recommend it to all.

Went to my Aunt's for Lucia supper last night (it's a Swedish pre-Christmas festival) - Lucia is represented by the youngest girl in the family, and she wears a wreath on her head with candles in it, and brings light and lucia buns (mmmm) to her friends and family on Dec. 13 - to bring light and warmth into the homes in the dead of winter so they are ready for Christmas or something like that. Well, i was the youngest female at the gathering, so I got to dress up and wear (LED) candles on my head and hand out treats. Fortunately they didn't make me go to the neighbour's houses too...

Found out today that I don't have to work next week past Monday or so....4 extra days off, not even taken off my allotted holidays for the year! So now I'm off from the 20th to Jan. 3. Woo hoo!

I wish people would shovel their sidewalks in front of their house. I don't expect it to be done immediately after a big snowfall like yesterday's, but it only gets worse as the winter goes on. The ice from last week's partial melt is now hidden under a good 3" of snow, making my walk to work treacherous. Even if they had scraped off the slush when it was melty out, things wouldn't be half as bad.

My sister and Liv are coming to S'toon tonight and staying until after Christmas, so it will be good to spend a lot of time with them. And my dad is healing very well from the surgery - still not back to his old self, but getting better every day. Thanks for thinking of and praying for him.

That's all for now...

Very flavorful, not salty, and best of all, very economically priced!

The World's Shortest Personality Test

In Psychology, there are bazillions of personality tests, and they are often very long and detailed, breaking your personality down on a number of facets, blah blah blah. SO, when I saw this 1-question test, I just had to try it.

Your Personality Profile

You are dependable, popular, and observant.Deep and thoughtful, you are prone to moodiness. In fact, your emotions tend to influence everything you do.
You are unique, creative, and expressive. You don't mind waving your freak flag every once and a while. And lucky for you, most people find your weird ways charming!
The World's Shortest Personality Test
...Hmm. Not sure I agree with the "popular" part, but the moodiness, yup, and the freak flag, for sure!
What's yours? Do you think it fits you?
