ok, so obviously noone liked the kissing blog....

so i'll try again.

what do you think about a married woman having guy friends? Ones that her husband knows about, and is ok with her having....

I've had this discussion with quite a few people lately, and i wonder what my (limited) blog audience thinks...

Pucker up!

Tips and facts about kissing, found on the lifestyle.sympatico.msn.ca website:

1. Most people kiss the way they want to be kissed-hard or soft, slow or fast, dry or juicy, exploratory or subdued-so follow their lead if you're looking for guidance.

2. A French kiss requires the use of more than 30 facial muscles, toning your jaw and cheek, which in turn reduces the likelihood of sagging chops.

3. A good make-out session burns about half the calories of jogging and makes your mouth water, which helps flush out plaque and prevent cavities.

4. It's true that other parts of our body may be 100 times less sensitive than our lips...

5. "Kissing is like drinking salted water: you drink and your thirst increases." - ancient Chinese proverb

Change, change, wonderful change.

So, this year, 2005, marks a year of big life changes for my family (the Nelson side)..... Amongst my parents, my two sisters and their partners, and me and anthony, the following life changes shall occur:

Both of my parents plan to retire this year
My sister Lana is getting married in spring
She and Russ will be looking for a place to live, perhaps buying their own place.
My sister Larissa and her husband bought a condo and will be moving in once it's built (likely in June)
This is a good thing 'cuz they'll need the space for their new baby (Yes, i am going to be an auntie...in early September!)
And we have bought a house and will be moving in about 7 weeks.

Everything big seems to be happening this year....it's kinda funny....and my parents joke that maybe with all these family expenses, they shouldn't retire, but should work a few more years to help everyone along....lol.

It's funny, because even though all of these are very good things, they are inherently stressful in and of themselves....each one individually can be enough to cause quite a bit of duress in a family, and now we have about 6 of them coming at once....

And I LOVE change SO MUCH!!!

All better now.

So, as of yesterday, the boys downstairs have moved out. And it's blissfully quiet and peaceful. I even did laundry at 10:30pm last night!!!

And the most wonderful thing is the realization that we likely won't have to live with anyone below us ever again......that is, if no one moves into the basement suite before April 15.....

Why april 15? Well, that's when we take possession of our NEW HOUSE!!!!! Yes! We bought a house. The last paper was signed last night, and now it's going to be OURS in just 6 weeks! I have been trying to not let myself get too excited before this point, because house deals can fall through at so many points for so many reasons. But this deal is sealed now!!!

Now i feel better. I'll write more details about the hosue itself and such in the coming weeks....
